Our Providers

Christina Raman, MD, FAAP

Dr. Raman grew up in Reno, moved around a bit for high school and college, and then came back home for medical school at the University of Nevada. She did her Pediatric residency at University of Utah in Salt Lake City and spent a couple of extra years there working in the Pediatric Emergency Room for good measure. She joined our practice in 2014 after moving home again for good, and took over as practice owner in 2021. She loves getting to be a part of her patients’ lives as they grow up (even if they all hate her at their 15 month check-up).

When she’s not working, she loves to run, ski and chase after her two adorable but extremely loud children (who are incidentally also the reason she needs to run and ski sometimes).

Cassandra Ceremuga, DO, FAAP

Dr. Ceremuga grew up in western South Dakota, attended medical school in Denver, and completed her Pediatrics residency at University of Nebraska. She’s excited to be moving back west closer to her family, and looks forward to enjoying our mountains with her lab Bella.

Vidya Kailash, PA-C, MPAS, MPH

Vidya grew up in Carson City and has lived in the Reno/Sparks area for most of her life. She received her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2012 from Touro University Nevada in Henderson. She also has her Masters in Public Health and Bachelors in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno. Vidya joined Summit Pediatrics in 2013 and really enjoys interacting with children of all ages and their families, especially all the high fives and hugs!

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling all over the place, visiting aquariums and zoos, reading anything she can get her hands on, watching movies involving superheros and animated talking animals, and trying different cuisines. She’s very excited and honored to be a part of our patients’ childhood experience!

Our Medical Assistants

Mayra Rivera

Mayra has been with Summit Pediatrics since the day we opened our doors -except one day! She was our first medical assistant and has since then assumed the role of Medical Assistant supervisor. Mayra was born in California and relocated to Nevada when she was child. She graduated from Dayton High School and obtained her degree as a Certified Medical Assistant from Career College of Northern Nevada in 2006. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their dog. She enjoys shopping, and outdoor activities. It is very obvious that she loves pediatrics. Outside of her work, she is also a Sunday school teacher at her church.

Dennise Berrios

Dennise was born and raised in New York City until she was 7 and moved to Reno. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Science and is a National Certified Medical Assistant from Carrington College. On her free time you will find her on the soccer field with her husband who is a referee, watching her two boys playing soccer, or participating in her church’s activities. Dennise is always smiling and enjoys helping the families that come to our practice.

Maria Ramirez

Maria graduated from Milan Institute and started with us as our receptionist and soon transitioned as one of our Medical Assistants. She is a Reno native and understandably an avid Wolf Pack fan. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and attending football games. She enjoys smooth jazz such as Marion Meadows, Peter White, Boney Jones, Norman Brown and Kenny G. She loves working with kids and watching them grow developing into different personalities is what makes her enjoy Pediatrics.

Angelica Gallegos

Angie graduated from Career College of Northern Nevada in 2008, and worked at Northern Nevada HOPES for 5 years. She joined Summit Pediatrics in 2013 and loves working with the kids here. When she’s not working she loves to spend time with her husband and 4 kids. Her favorites are taking nature walks with her kids and getting pedicures with her princess. She loves taking weekend trips and making memories with her family—every activity she does is with her kids in mind and we get to see that at Summit Pediatrics too!

Jennifer Ochoa

Jennifer graduated from Milan Institute, and she has been passionate working in the medical field. One thing about Jennifer is she that she loves being helpful and assisting others in need. Jennifer loves spending time with family and friends, she enjoys outdoor activities with her two sons and her fiancé. On Jennifer’s free time she enjoys doing nails for family and friends.

Our Administrative Team

Cathy Olsen

Cathy is our office manager. She keeps all of us in check. Cathy has been with Summit Pediatrics pretty much since Dr. Mathew started practicing in Reno. Yes, that long! She is the one to ask for if you have any billing/insurance questions.

Outside of the office, Cathy enjoys spending time with her family, camping in the pines, long walks on the beach, and relaxing with a good book whether it is in front of the fireplace or swinging in the hammock under the shade.

Liz Garcia

Liz has been with Summit Pediatrics for 11 years and is a part of our billing office. She is from the beautiful San Fernando Valley in Southern California. She has three boys who keep her on her toes and two dogs who are also like her babies! When Liz is not working hard at crunching numbers, she enjoys camping with her family and time at the lake. Liz is kind and is always willing to help and answer those tough insurance and billing questions you may have!

Heather DeCarie

Heather is the newest member of the Summit Pediatrics team, and we’re so happy to have her! More info to come =)

Estefany Lopez

Estefany, or Stef as she is lovingly called here in office, is part of the Front office crew as receptionist. Stef is a Reno native born and raised. She received her medical assistant certificate from Milan. She has four boys of her own so its easy to see her love of pediatrics and our patients.

When not here manning the phones and making appointments she enjoys working out and has a love of tattoos. She spends all her time she can with her boys and making sure they are having a great time whether it be the trampoline park, boxing classes or being involved in the Northern Nevada Trucking Club. You will enjoy any interaction here at our office with Stef's sweet personality and demeanor.
