We are here for you and your kids.
We believe that pediatrics goes way beyond check-ups, sniffles, coughs and vaccines. We are here to be part of your team, to empower you as parents and caregivers, and to help your kids thrive. Also sniffles and coughs.
We all need snacks.
You know when you do something hard that you didn’t to, so you take yourselves to Starbucks? This is like that, only for babies!
Especially after vaccines, a little break and a feed can go a long way for feeling better!
(we even have a changing table in there, but please take home your treasures so that the room stays pleasant for the next parents =)
It’s that time of year again!
We're happy to help with sports physical forms but please keep in mind that it can take 24-48 hrs for us to be able to fill these out, and that we need all the questionnaires to be done before we can. We're swamped with forms this time of year, and we can't always get them done immediately!
If your check-up was >1 year ago, you'll need to set up an appointment for a check-up for clearance as well, as the WCSD requires a visit within a year.
…and still growing!
Meet Alexis Phillips, MSN, FNP-BC, starting with us in August!
Alexis grew up in Northern California and has lived in the Reno/Sparks area for the last 15 years. She worked as an Intensive Care Nurse for most of her career. Alexis completed her graduate studies through Chamberlain University and is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. She loves caring for and engaging with patients and families in all stages in life.
In her spare time, Alexis loves spending time with her family and friends and tries to get outdoors any chance she gets, especially for camping, fishing, hiking or sunny beaches.
We can’t wait for you to meet Alexis!
We’re growing!
We’re excited for you to meet Abbie Seeliger, PA-C, MPAS, starting in June!
A little about Abbie: she was born and raised in Reno and is a proud seventh generation Nevadan. After graduating college from University of Notre Dame and receiving her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University in Henderson, NV, she eagerly moved back to Reno full-time.
Outside of work, she loves to read, play volleyball and pickleball, and spend time in Lake Tahoe with her friends and family. She enjoys spending every extra moment with her husband and her kitty, Azriel. She is so excited to be a part of her patients’ care as they grow up!
Welcome to the Summit family, Abbie!
We’ve moved!
We are excited to tell you about our big move! Our new location is at 670 Sierra Rose Drive, off of Kietzke.
Please be patient with us while we navigate this big change. We’re doing our best to keep it as smooth for you as we can!
This includes waiting for Google to update our address (turns out, they won’t just *let* Dr. Raman edit that)
This year, we’re proud to be partnering with Girls on the Run Sierras to support local girls!
If you’re not familiar with GOTR, it’s an incredible program that builds confidence, leadership skills and a love of running in girls starting in 3rd grade. Check out their website if you’re interested in learning more, and maybe we’ll see you out there!
We recommend that your kids have their routine well-child checks to ensure their ongoing health. Caring for your kids is our favorite!
Please keep in mind that if there are concerns that need additional attention, a copay may be required by your insurance. This is a rule we are required to follow—we are obligated by insurance companies to document everything we do during a visit, and their rules may require a copay based on what we do. We don’t want you to ever be surprised, and we hope you understand!
We can also set up separate appointment to fully address your concerns—they’re valid and important, and sometimes we need extra time to make sure you get the time you deserve!
Friendly request from your Summit Team:
With cough/cold (strep/COVID/flu/RSV/HFM…) season upon us, we want to make sure we have enough appointments to care for your kiddos if they need us!
If you have an appointment scheduled and something comes up (even if you’ve already confirmed), please give us a call so we can open that appointment up to someone who needs us that day!
We get it—life happens. Just keep us in the loop!
Starting in 2024, we will be instituting a $50 fee for no-show appointments.
Life happens! Kids and cars and jobs don’t always cooperate. Just give us a call if you have something come up so that we can give that slot to another child who needs it urgently.
Thanks for understanding!
